Caution, rant ahead. So I had two messages from seperate people that I feel the need to address. The first message was from someone unhappy that I use the tags #plussize and #bopo. They felt I wasn't 'big enough' to be allowed use those terms. First of all, I'm a size 16 which is considered plus in Australia. Second of all, being body positive does not just include one type of body. Body positive is embracing fat bodies as well as athletic ones. It's about love, NOT an attack on a body that doesn't look like yours. The second message I got was someone who felt that my comment about my 'coming out' was insensitive to 'true gay people'. If my mentioning that I am pansexual makes me not gay enough... well I don't really know what to say to you. You need to have a good long look at yourself. We need to be embracing our differences, NOT OUR SIMILARITIES.
