I don’t know about you gals, but I like my swimwear to consist of more than a string and a well placed triangle of material to keep my dignity. I like a suit that has a combined impact of design and functionality, and for that reason I ALWAYS come back to Curvy Swimwear.
Catering for sizes from 8-30 it truly is an inclusive brand and that really appeals to me. It has been really bothering me lately how many brands seem to lack diversity in their model size catering. This is something that Curvy Swimwear really gets right.
Over the past year I have gone from a size 12 to a size 16 and found myself quite self conscious about showing any skin. In a movement to embrace my new AND BEAUTIFUL body I decided it was time to hit the beach and flaunt those extra curves.
Black Short Sleeve Tie One Piece Swimwear
This suit was an obvious choice for me for a few reasons:
I adore a bust tie (it makes me feel like the heroine of an 80’s bodice ripper novel),
I hate tanning (alas it uncovers the truth that I am not a natural redhead) so I appreciate the cap sleeves for extra coverage
It has tummy support and molded cups to hold everything in place
This black one piece caters for sizes 10-22, retails for $99 AUD and can be found here.
I am not going to lie, bikini’s scare the crap out of me. My soft tummy and pointy ribs have seen me successfully avoid two pieces for years now.
However, when I saw this darling bikini I couldn’t resist giving this gingham dreamboat a go, and boy was I glad I did.
The capped sleeve top is a faux wrap that ties at the back with hidden bust support.
I chose to go with the retro high waist matching bottoms as it appeals to my aesthetic and makes me feel more supported and comfortable. However, they also come in matching string bottoms for those of you who rather that look.
Thank you so much for reading and happy swimsuit season!
Miss Sueky xx
